Powell Conservatory Flute – Solid silver, open holes, C-Foot
Verne Powell first started making flutes in 1927 and the Powell company are world renowned flute makers to this day. The Powell Conservatory Flute model is highly rated and sought-after. Constructed with Sterling silver throughout, drawn tone-holes, white gold springs, French pointed key arms, 0.16” wall thickness and a handmade custom headjoint with Philharmonic cut.
This particular flute is in beautiful condition and hand engraved with the serial number CHM (Conservatory hand made) 0356. I have contacted Powel and will have a date of manufacture shortly. It has been completely stripped down and carefully overhauled and the pads are Straubinger and replaced only in 2016. It has a stunning sound with very strong projection, the Philharmonic cut giving excellent resistance and allowing perfect control of dynamics. Current retail for this model with this set-up is £8,550 and this flute is in beautiful condition so the asking price is very attractive.
