Albert Cooper ‘Silver Jubilee’ Headjoint (12/83) – Excellent Condition

A very rare and beautiful Albert Cooper Silver Jubilee headjoint is now up for sale. The ‘Silver Jubilee’ headjoints were a very limited run to celebrate Albert’s 25 years making flutes/headjoints.

Albert Cooper, a British maker, left Rudall Carte in 1959 and subsequently set up his workshop in a shed at the end of his garden. By using traditional tools, he ultimately became one of the world’s most famous makers of headjoints and flutes.

When he passed away in 2011, he left behind a small but lasting legacy of beautifully constructed flutes and headjoints. Consequently, these instruments are highly coveted and, in most cases, very rarely appear on the market. Furthermore, he collaborated with Brannen Brothers, William Bennett, and Elmer Cole to develop the renowned ‘Cooper Scale’.

This particular Albert Cooper headjoint is in superb condition with hardly any noticeable marks. It has had very little use since it was originally purchased.
