This particular headjoint would have likely been made in collaboration with Dirk Kuiper and although not marked (as his generally were not), she has confirmed to me that this is one of her headjoints.  It plays very easily with a solid and centred sound and the embouchure shape is not dissimilar to Albert Cooper in my opinion. It came with a Pearl Maesta 22K gold plated flute (also for sale here – Pearl Maesta MD925RBE/CGP Flute) and the combination was superb. Like all headjoints, it is a personal choice and needs to suit the individual player. This headjoint however is a rarity as she did not make many for standard flutes, her instruments are mainly low register Alto, Bass and Contra-Bass and variations of. It measures 20mm diameter and is just too tight for Altus and Muramatsu models that I have tried on. If you wish to try it then it cannot be re-sized or adjusted in a trial purchase period and so please be sure that you have a flute to test it on.
