BEAUTIFUL MURAMATSU AD SOLID SILVER CLOSED HOLE FLUTE (#29838) WITH DRAWN TONE HOLES, OFFSET G, SPLIT E AND C-FOOTJOINT IN SUPERB CONDITION
Muramatsu flutes stand in a class of their own and are some of the most sought-after flutes in the world. The sound is rich and lush and allows a wide range of tonal colour. This Muramatsu AD solid silver closed hole flute was the professional model made from 1981 which was replaced with the current DS model in 2003. At the time it was one of the top silver flutes that Muramatsu offered and It featured a solid silver head, body, tube and keys.
This particular flute is offered in excellent condition with no dents. It has closed holes, offset G, the benefit of the split E mechanism and a C footjoint. This is a superb set-up and a stunning flute and was probably made around the late 1980’s and is 442HZ. It plays very nicely throughout the registers with a full, rich and powerful sound. Quite frankly a lot of flute for the money, these flutes last a lifetime and the older models are always sought-after for excellence of build quality. Pads are used, seal well and have life in them and so we have left them in. The mechanism has been stripped, oiled and adjusted and the tube hand polished.
