YAMAHA Yfl-221 FLUTE WITH CLOSED HOLES OFFSET G AND C-FOOT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
For students looking to start playing the flute it is important to benefit from a well made instrument. The Yamaha 200 series has been the most recommended student flute for over 40 years. The Yamaha YFL-221 flute features a nickel silver, silver plated headjoint, silver plated body and footjoint which gives a lovely warm sound and allows a student an excellent range of tonal colour. It has closed-holes and offset G and is a superb student model that will last a lifetime. This model currently retails for £500 and so this represents superb value.
The Yamaha 200 series flutes are designed to take students from being absolute beginners up until around grade 5/6, at which point they will need to upgrade to a solid silver head flute. Here is an example of the upgrade from the beginners flute – Yamaha Yfl-311 flute – PLEASE NOTE that students can also start on a Yamaha YFL-311 also as it is no more difficult to play.
