BEAUTIFUL YAMAHA YFL-61 SOLID SILVER FLUTE WITH OPEN-HOLES, INLINE G AND

C-FOOT

This is a superb opportunity to acquire one of Yamaha’s most sought-after models from the golden era of Yamaha. Arguably Yamaha flutes made in the 1970’s were better crafted than today’s models and this is no exception. The Yamaha YFL-61 solid silver flute was from Yamaha’s professional range and was introduced as their high-end model in 1974 after Nikkan and Yamaha merged in 1970 and was in production until 1979. This model is beautifully constructed in 100% sterling silver with French pointed key arms and drawn tone-holes.

This particular flute has open-holes with inline G and C-foot and has been completely restored to beautiful condition. The pads and corks have been replaced, the mechanism stripped, cleaned and oiled and the body polished professionally. Due to prices of Yamaha models increasing with changing exchange rates and changes in specification, the closest equivalent to this model is the current 700 series with upgraded headjoint and the RRP of £6,800.
