The Yamaha Yfl-681 solid silver flute is an older professional model from Yamaha made between 1981-1986. These models are sought-after because the older Yamaha flutes are known to be constructed extremely well. For students looking to move up to a flute that will take them through Grade 8 and beyond, it is important firstly to benefit from solid silver and the richness of tone it offers. Advanced students will also be looking to move to open-holes and an inline mechanism allows for better hand positioning. This model has a solid silver headjoint, body, keys and mechanism – the springs are white gold and the tone holes are drawn and inline.
