Emerson Grenadilla wood piccolo for sale with silver plated mechanism
Emerson DeFord may have made more hand-crafted flutes/piccolos than anyone else. It is a strong statement, but then again he has produced under such brand names as Deford and Emerson since 1952. Many famous flute craftsmen have worked with and for him over the years, such as Jack Moore and Bickford Brannen and he is still working as a master craftsman in his 90’s. in 2019 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Flute Association in Salt Lake, USA.
This piccolo is made from seasoned Grenadilla wood with silver plated keywork and mechanism. It has a clear sounding tone and is a super piccolo for advancing students and professionals. It has been adjusted and cleaned and pads are used but have life so we have left them. Condition is excellent throughout and this is a really good piccolo for the money.
This is a very good alternative to the popular Yamaha 62 with the same specification.
