Muramatsu AD Solid Silver closed Hole Flute (#37915) with Drawn Tone Holes, offset G, split E and C-Footjoint in Superb Condition

The Muramatsu AD solid silver closed hole flute, crafted as a professional model from 1981 to the mid-1990s, remains a top choice for flutists. Notably, Muramatsu replaced this model with the DS in 2003. At its peak, the AD was one of Muramatsu’s premier flutes, featuring a solid silver head, body, tube, and keys. It also had French pointed key arms and a lighter mechanism than the ST, its older brother.

This specific flute has recently been serviced and was constructed around 1990.  Condition is superb throughout with no dents and it has used pads that are marked but sealing well and have life in them.

The Muramatsu AD performs superbly, producing a rich, full sound across all registers. Because of its durability and exceptional build quality, older Muramatsu models remain highly sought after. Therefore, this presents a rare chance to own a professional-grade solid silver flute at exceptional value. These models are especially popular with wind doublers, as they allow a quick change from Sax/Clarinet with an easy full blow.

For comparison, the current DS model costs £7,500, which makes this AD model an outstanding deal.
