Description
YAMAHA YFL-211sII FLUTE WITH OFFSET G, SPLIT E AND C-FOOT IN FULLY SERVICED CONDITION.
For students looking to start playing the flute it is important to benefit from a well made instrument. The Yamaha YFL-211sII flute is without a doubt the most recommended student flute and has been for over 40 years. It features a nickel silver, silver plated headjoint, silver plated body and footjoint which gives a lovely warm sound. The headjoint blows freely and easily which helps student to develop their embouchure. It has closed-holes, offset G and the split E mechanism that helps players with pitch.
This flute has been recently serviced. A full service involves stripping down the flute completely, oiling the rods, cleaning and polishing the body and mechanism and replacing the head cork. Once this has been done then all of the pads are individually adjusted to ensure a proper seal. A full service costs a minimum of £100 and almost every used student flute will need this.
The flute itself is offered in very good condition with no dents, some light scratches from use and used pads, older but serviceable. It plays very well and comes with a hard case and cleaning rod. These flutes will last a lifetime when properly serviced and looked after. Please feel free to contact me for advice and assistance.
The Yamaha YFL-211 is a superb beginner model that will last a lifetime. The current model retails for £550 and so this represents superb value.
