Description
YAMAHA YFL-777RBE SOLID SILVER OPEN HOLE FLUTE WITH OFFSET G, SPLIT E and B-FOOT
Yamaha has crafted flutes for over 40 years, and during this time, students ranging from beginners to advanced levels have consistently made them the solid favorite. As a result, players widely recognize Yamaha flutes for their reliability, exceptional build quality, and consistently high standard of tone. Specifically, Yamaha’s professional range includes this used Yamaha YFL-777 solid silver flute. In particular, it features solid silver construction throughout, French pointed key arms, white gold springs, and drawn tone-holes. Furthermore, Yamaha’s new Type-4 scale in the light mechanism more accurately centers notes, ensuring precise intonation.
Additionally, the AM headjoint cut in this particular flute, which is based on the headjoint cut supplied with the 800 and 900 range, produces an easy, immediate sound that is both crisp and firm, while also being well-rounded. Therefore, this design enhances playability and gives the player flexibility to add their own tonal color to the sound. In fact, it includes open holes, offset G, split E mechanism, and the upgraded B footjoint, making it highly versatile.
Heavy Wall – The thickness of the wall (tube) has been increased from 0.38mm to 0.43mm to improve balance for use with the new Type Am headjoint and the Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads. This in turn increases the richness of the resonance felt by and fed back to the player.
This particular flute is in superb condition throughout with very minor signs of use. Notably, the pads are original and in excellent condition, and a thorough check was performed on the mechanism. At present, this model sells for £8,300 and is difficult to find. Thus, the value of buying a used flute in top condition is clear, and this flute represents superb value for money given its state.
