MIYAZAWA PA-201E SOLID SILVER HEAD CLOSED-HOLE FLUTE WITH OFFSET G, SPLIT E, SILVER PLATED KEYWORK AND C-FOOT
Up for sale is a Miyazawa PA-201E closed hole flute with a sterling solid silver headjoint. Miyazawa Flutes was founded in 1969 by Masashi Miyazawa. Mr. Miyazawa founded the company with a dream to create a better instrument. With his background in the design and manufacture of professional flutes, Miyazawa successfully brought together traditional craftsmanship with advanced technologies.
This particular flute is offered in superb condition with no dents/noticeable scratches. Pads are used but have plenty of life and have been recently adjusted so it plays very well. The solid silver headjoint as a slight cut-away taper and is responsive with a nice darker sound in the lower registers. Solid silver gives an overall warmth to the tone.
The flute body has a silver plated tube and mechanism, closed holes, offset G and split E. It is a perfect flute for advancing students at grade 5 onwards that are seeking more opportunities for tonal quality, power and richness.
This particular flute comes of course with the Miyazawa hardcase (slightly worn on top). Current retail on the equivalent 202 model is £2,695 so this represents superb value.
